Biography

Blake Reynolds is a dedicated music educator and accomplished musician. He honed his skills at Florida State University, earning a Bachelor of Music Education followed by a Master of Music Education with a focus on jazz pedagogy and arranging.

 

Mr. Reynolds' career spans across a variety of institutions and roles, reflecting his versatility and leadership in music education. His ability to develop comprehensive music programs, encompassing everything from concert bands to pep bands, jazz ensembles to guitar, and music theory and appreciation courses, has led to successful programs in Florida, Indiana, Illinois, and Tennessee. In addition to his work at the secondary level, Mr. Reynolds has also served as adjunct faculty at Indiana State University, Lincoln Trail College, and Belmont University and has served as musical director and conductor of the Marshall City Community Band.

 

Mr. Reynolds’ work as an arranger has been featured by Florida State University, Michigan State University, and Case Western Reserve University, as well as been heard in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Mr. Reynolds’ work has also been showcased, through commission, for the Florida All-State Middle School Jazz Ensemble.

 

Mr. Reynolds currently resides in Hermitage, Tennessee with his wife Julie, and their two children Eloise and Geoffrey.
